Excursion

Standing outside St James station we saw 3 towers, Sydney tower, an hexagonal building and church spires.

In Hyde Park we saw two sculptures, one of Queen Victoria and opposite was King George IV standing on a cube which had seven circular steps.

At Sydney Eye Hospital there was a large, beautiful sculpture. The base was an octagonal prism with a tall cylinder in the middle holding a large circular dish and further up a small circular dish. It would be a beautiful fountain.

Inside Customs House there was an amazing model of the city under the floor.

The Shapes Excursion

Last Thursday, we went on an excursion to the city. We met together at Granville station at 9:30am. There were 12 people in my group and the teachers.

First we walked around Macquarie Street and looked at some sculptures. Our teacher Kerry showed and explained about the different shapes. They were very nice structures.

After that, we went to the Art Gallery of NSW, then we walked around the Botanic Gardens. We saw a lot of bats in the trees. They looked like fruit.

Before we came back to the train station, we passed the Opera House.
Finally, we said goodbye at Granville station.

It was an interesting excursion. I won't forget it!

(This recount was beautifully written by Asma and Kim)
